Harvest and the Market Place-Just a thought

Many of us who have a passion for souls believe that the big tent meetings or crusades are what will bring in a great harvest of souls, Some of us preachers are even praying for bigger venues in hope of reaching more souls.
While this is happening to some degree, I believe that is not God’s plan but a way the Lord has used to bring in those in whom he has chosen for salvation. The statistics from these meetings are real bad. I believe it is less than 5% that actually get discipled from all the commitment cards. That means we have a broken net. Our nets have holes in them because we are using the wisdom of man and not the wisdom of God.
While God allows this, I do not believe this is His perfect will or the results would be different. The thing that catches my attention is that on the day of Pentecost, it was not in the Church house or place of assembly that the 3,000 souls were won to Christ. It was in the market place. In John 10:9 Jesus says, “I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
To me, the sheepfold represents the place of assembly, but the pasture the market place. It is in the market place, this being the different areas of the city, i.e. government, education, arts, media, and business, where we will see the greatest incoming of souls.
In the book of Acts, where Peter stood up and preached, it was in the market place or place of business where all kinds of transactions were going on. Because the Christians it was not just the apostles who were drunk in the spirithad assembled and were filled in the Church house that the apostles were able together as one but 12 and releasethe word of the Lord via Peter.
This speaks to me about why God is positioning five-fold ministries and releasing His apostles and those with an apostolic commission to stand up together. The ones anointed to speak in this hour are being released in the marketplace. So that when we are filled at our house and overflowing into the marketplace; the attention of the world of people that have been assembled is caught by something they do not understand.
Remember, in this hour, being apostolic is not being part of a particular denomination. And in no way am I belittling our brothers and sisters who are part of denominations that call them selves apostolic. I give honor to all that call upon the name of Jesus from there heart.
Apostolic is not a doctrine of baptisms, as some have been taught. The Apostle Paul even said about how why do you follow this one and that one and I am glad that I did not baptize but this one. As a matter of fact, the Apostle Paul said that if we think like this we are carnal. No Christian, especially spirit-filled Christians likes being called carnal, but the truth is … you decide. Read 1 Corinthians 3 for reference on this.
But being apostolic is an anointing. It is the power of God that breaks through barriers that hinders the gospel from reaching areas or gates of society that have been closed off by Satan and his kingdom.
Just a thought for the hour
