As an Australian you need to correct something about Rupert Murdoch. He became an American citizen in 1985 so he could buy into the American media namely from memory The New York Post. He had to give up his Australian citizenship at the time as the law stood at the time. These days expat Americans & Australians can have dual citizenship if they so wish.
