Don’t Quit — Harry Christian Green

In my life I have been both a successful entrepreneur and new venture investor…and I have also failed at both.  As an entrepreneur my primary interest was always seeing my dream become a reality. 
 
Before becoming a believer I spent days, weeks, months or years dreaming about an idea that I believed I had the ability to bring to fruition.  If I had the money at the appropriate times I would have funded the projects myself. I thought the only thing standing between me and success was capital.  I needed help but didn’t know the real source.

I read books, surfed the Internet and bought software that was supposed to help me get the capital I needed.  Often In spite of everything I did, I kept drawing a blank and wondering why people weren’t lining up to invest in what I believed to be the greatest projects ever conceived.  Banks wouldn’t loan me money because in the early years I didn’t have a track record or I had a past business failure. None of the things that I’d been told about attracting investors or venture capital seemed to be true.   
 
I made presentations at angel investor meetings and using what little money I had I even hired consultants to help me.  Often none of this generated any capital and I became discouraged and ready to give up.  
 
I get lots of email from folks who daily face similar challenges. They feel God’s call upon their lives and wonder why they must struggle. I don’t have all the answers but I do know that it’s impossible to succeed if you quit.
 
I do know that it’s impossible to succeed if you quit.
 
Your failures can be God’s building blocks to victory. Whatever happens trust in the Lord…don’t quit!
