Radio Show – Hearing The Voice Of God In Business

May 13, 2010 by Bob Regnerus

Do you have dreams in your heart? Have some of your life long dreams been broken? Do you feel like the dreams you’ve had are now out of reach, unobtainable or dead? Better yet, do you keep asking God what to do, but never seem to hear from Him? Hey, we’ve all been there and it seems to be ‘harder’ to hear God in the buzz of day in and day out business. That’s why Bob and Matt will dive into the mail bag, answer this question and break down a recent blog post on the same subject.

This was a good podcast and was quite helpful to sort out a few things. I sure appreciate your earnest in approaching this subject. It is a complex subject that could fill months of podcasts.

You discussion of my mail bag comments were very thoughtful. Much of the approaches you discussed have been in my experience as well.

I should clarify that I have no love for the business i am in. My success (?) in it was more of an out-working of my shame, not any dream or passion. In fact the ‘need to succeed’ helped bury the dreams and passions i no longer am in touch with. I feel no attachment to the work to the point of hating it (somewhat hyperbole). I had no dream to run a business, per se, apart from the freedom to pursue my own curiosities and creativity.

The only thing is that I do love helping my customers solve problems and helping those that work with me get through change.

The podcast and previous post did incite me to ask Papa more about the dreams and desires that the shame based work covered up. I know He put them in me and continues to draw them out.

I do know that the work I did out of shame had value but has no dream driving it, only the safety of the familiar, vomit or otherwise. The podcast was helpful to get me focused again.

    Bless you Bob and Matt.
